Pattullo Bridge Closure Parking Options

With the recent closure of the Pattullo due to a very suspicious fire, Translink has responded to the initial massive influx of traffic on other connecting routs by encouraging commuters to switch to taking transit instead of driving. I for one have followed this advice and have taken this advice and found it much better then a two hour line up to cross the Fraser River.

Translink has also implemented alternate parking regulations to further encourage sky train use during the reconstruction of the bridge.
City of Surrey is offering up the following parking options:
  • approximately 200 curbside spots available along King George Highway, north of 100 Avenue
  • 80 spots along 110 Avneue at Scott Road SkyTrain Station
  • 40 spots are available at a City parking lot at 10338 West Whalley Ring Road, near Surrey Central SkyTrain Station
  • These temporary spots [and] Park & Ride spots are free during the rebuild of the bridge section.
  • The City of New Westminster has nearly 800 spots available in the parkade on Front Street. Cost is $6 from 6AM to 6PM and $2 from 6PM to 6AM.
Note that fourth bullet is still very vague, and it is not certain if the larger parking lots are free at this time.
